Laker Navy Packs Shipping Container Full of Humanitarian Supplies Headed to Haiti
Friday, January 30th, 2015Today members of the Laker Navy teamed up with the Rays of Hope organization to help fill a shipping container of various supplies on its way to Haiti. Various supplies such as medical kits, cleaning supplies, buckets of nonperishable food items and textiles were jammed into a standard 20 foot shipping container. In order to ship as many goods as possible the Lakers packed every crevasse and filled the trailer to its mass capacity this morning. As a team, we would like to thank the Rays of Hope organization for letting us help with their January shipment to Haiti. The Rays of Hope website can be viewed at: http://www.raysoh.org/. They’re also always looking for volunteers to help pack these monthly shipping containers that go all around the globe to help less fortunate cities.
