Rent-A-Rower
Q: What is Rent-A-Rower?
A: Rent-A-Rower is a program that allows student athletes to raise money towards their semester dues. Although Student Life and Student Senate help fund the team, rowers still pay a significant portion of the fees. These fees fund travel arrangements including housing, transportation, and racing entry fees.
Q: Who can Rent a Rower?
A: Anyone in the Allendale and Grand Rapids area can rent a rower. We ask that customers outside of this area aid in paying for gas as the rowers use their own cars for transport.
Q: What jobs can rowers do?
A: The jobs below are suggestions and the rowers are not limited to just these jobs.
Yard Work, Raking, Planting, Cleaning Gutters, Mowing, Painting, Tutoring, Baby-sitting, Moving, Assembly, etc.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: We charge $10 per hour per rower. Checks can be made payable to “Grand Valley Rowingâ€. Checks are due upon completion of the task.
Q: How do I Rent a Rower?
A: The preferred method for a client to request rowers is via the online Rent-A-Rower request form linked below; outside of that, a Rent-A-Rower Request form in Microsoft Word format may be downloaded below, and sent via either email attachment or traditional mail to either the email address or mailing address listed within.
Q: What are Pre-scheduled Weekends?
